About Skip

Skip Weisman is a former professional baseball executive turned business consultant turned professional writer and author. This is his third career since graduating with a Masters’ Degree in Sports Administration from Ohio University.

Skip achieved his childhood dream of a career in professional sports after earning his Masters’ Degree and spent twenty years in professional baseball. For sixteen of those years Skip served as general manager and CEO of five different professional baseball franchises between 1986-2001.

In 2002 Skip began his business consulting company and achieved his second professional dream of becoming a professional speaker and a member of the National Speakers Association. Delivering conference keynote speeches and presenting deep dive workshops on leadership and leadership communication eventually became thirty percent of his business’ revenue.

Gleaning communication challenges from his clients between 2002-2010, Skip published a 30-page white paper on his 7 Deadliest Communicaton Sins concept, eventually turning it into his first published book.

In 2018, Skip wrote and published his first book Overcoming The 7 Deadliest Communication SINs: A new Standard Interpersonal Communication (link title to the book page) in 2018. The book became the foundation of Skip’s professional keynote speaking and consulting business and has transformed the way business leaders approach their communication in the workplace.

Twenty-two years after starting his consulting business Skip began building towards his third career as a professional fiction writer and author. His first novel, Two Sins Don’t Make it Right, is currently in the editing process of the second draft and is expected to published in 2024.
